WOULD LIKE A VALUE RATING    ORVIS SALMON 10 FT 3 PIECE FLY ROD WITH BUTT PIECE . ROD IS MINT IN CLOTH BAG .NO SIGN OF EVER BEING USED , CAME IN METAL CONTAINER BRASS CAPS ON END  ONE IS SCREW ON .  WEIGHT 4 3/4 -- LINE WT. #9  GRAPHITE  -- CORK HANDLE

Sounds like a very nice rod.  A couple of questions, if you don't mind.

Do you know about how old the rod is?

Are there any other markings on it that could be a model name or type?

I ask so I can do some searching in older Orvis catalogs and online sources.  I have not found anything that exactly matches your description so far, but Orvis tends to change model designations fairly frequently.
