moon phases and fishing

i am 13 years old and in 7th grade.  I have to come up with a science fair project so i thought i would do one on something i like...fishing.  My project question is whether moon phases affect fishing.  The problem I'm having is coming up with a project to prove or disprove that the moon phases to affect fishing.  Can you help me set this up or point me toward a place to get started

Hi Jules and thanks for asking me this question. Honestly, there are differing opinions on the effect of moon phases on fishing and I'm not expert enough to give you a way to definitively prove anything one way or the other. However, I've done some Google searches and found some references that may be helpful to you.
