Largemouth bass fishing on lake seminole

Question
I am new to fishing Lake Seminole and not used to fishing such large lakes. I am restricted to the Florida half of the lake and was just wondering if there were any historically good bass fishing spots maybe on the Chattahoochee river or the Florida half of the lake. As well as some good tactics and lures to use in the area.

Answer
Matthew, First may I ask why you are limited to the Florida half (?) of the lake?  The Florida
part of the lake is much less than half of the lake. (use follow up to answer if you wish.)
But there are some places that bass fishing can be good on the Florida side.  First get you a
map at Wallmart or a bait store.  See that the line for Florida fishing covers all of the
Hooch.  This includes the area near the dam.  If you look for the GPS numbers and have a GPS
You can find these humps and they are often places where bass can be caught but are hit hard.
The river channel from the dam up to the point where the  Hooch and Flint join can be good.
These channels are the deepest water in the lake and you need a good sounder to find the drops
I can not tell you much about the West side of the river and west of the hwy. 271 except that
it is mostly shallow water.  There should be some bass up there now until hot weather. The west side of the islands and the old channel on the west side has some very good looking places And the sunken ponds marked by GPS numbers should be good if you can find the cover
I have not fished them but a time or two and conditions were far from good.  The right side
of the river look for the pilings leading back into a landing way back in there.  I believe
all of that is combination water meaning both Georgia And Florida.  I have caught some fair
bass in the pads back in there early in the day on topwater baits but again I have not fished
that area much  All the way up the river there are lots of points and sloughs back in to the right and again look for the GPS way point numbers. but again the water is relatively shallow.  I have not fished up there as it is almost 15 miles from my home waters in the Spring Creek arm.  Much of the area up here is shallow except the river channel.  I just do
not know enough to really give you more information.  Let me take a quick look at my map.
My map shows that Florida fishing license goes some way up the Flint but not far.
If your reason for not Fishing the Georgia side too is license cost I would weigh that against
the other  costs.  If you live in Florida and intend fishing more than one or two days I would
get a Georgia license.  If you are from some other state I would get the Georgia license and fish up the Flint and Spring creek as well as fish pond drain.  I have caught many 6-8 pound
bass here in Spring Creek.  I have not broke ten pounds yet but got one slightly over 9 and one just slightly under nine on two casts one hot steamy  night here in Spring Creek.  If you were
going to fish this area I could show you many spots for good bass.

Give me a follow up question if you have further questions.
Thanks for calling on me to answer your question.  I hope it does you some good.

P.S.  Sorry I was so long answering.  It was put in my spam and I did not get it until now.
