Identifying and Valuing Vintage Heddon Deluxe Pal Spook #1 Fishing Rod

I got this rod at a yard sale in a big lot of fishing gear.  I have spent a lot of time looking this up with no luck.  The only thing i found was that it was top of the line at the time.

The rod and faux leather case both say Heddon De Luxe "Pal Spook" Rod #1 L-5 1/2 ft.

The rod is in near mint and the case is good with normal signs of wearing from being stored and moved.

Hi Garrett,

This is a good example of the early Heddon fiberglass efforts.  This rod in average condition would probably sell for $10-$15.  In Excellent condition with the leather case I would value it more in the $$30-$50 range.

The "L" indicates a Light action rod...lure weight in the 1/8 to 3/8 ounce range.
