Question
QUESTION: Outstanding article written about musky fishing.  Question is using the Style 9 Shad Head Do-it molds how do you prevent lead from going down the shank.  Your idea is great.  Your custom head section is outstanding pics

ANSWER: You can either block it out in the mold with JB Weld, or just cut the collar off with a little side cutter.  I just cut them off.

QUESTION: How do you get the 60 degree angle hook to work  do you lay 60 degree inside and clamp tight.  I have poured jigs in the past with do-it molds.  Did not know what other mod's you did to the mold.  Again thanks for your great article   I just read it again....about the fifth time!

Answer
Hi Brett,

You will have to mill out a new spot in the mold for the 60 degree to come out of the nose.  You will always want to mill out enough so that the mold closes flat or you will have a bunch of flash to clean up.  Even for a thicker hook shank.  A Dremmel tool makes life easy.

These swimbaits are just great.  They are so easy to fish compared to other hard pulling and tiring baits.  And much more versitile.

I have had so many requests that I may make them available for purchase.  I will post on my blog if you are interested.  www.thelureofthefish.blogspot.com

Thanks and good luck.  If you have any more questions, feel free to write.
