fishing rod and lures from early 1900s

Question

lures
I have a collection of 31 poppers and plugs, 34 spoons for walleye & bass, etc.  2  wooden rods in original bags.  1 flugler reel model # 1978. 3 fishing licenses from 1939, 1941 from Ontario and 1 from Wisconsin 1942.  All good condition. Tackle box also. Lure names are Helin, Dickson, Shakespeare, Foss, Pflueger, Johnsons, little joe, Ke-Ad bass, wt lowe, heddon head-on basser.
thanks, brian
Is the collection of more value as a package or sold seperately?  What is the approximate value of this collection?  I have attached a few photos.

Answer
Hi Brian,

Nice collection.  Its hard to say exactly what the entire collection would be.  The wood lures would probably be worth $5-$10 each.  The spoons and spinners a little less.  But then you may have that one in there that someone is looking for.  Something like that may go for $50-$75.  The reel is probably in the $30-$50 range.  Most of the old bamboo rods go for $20-$40 unless they are from a highly desirable manufacture.  The license, I don't know.  I see them on eBay for $15-$20, but they rarely sell.

I think your best bet would be to identify each lure and search it on eBay and see what they are going for.  The collector books have some values, but eBay is real life and a better insight on what it may be worth.

Looks like a great collection.  I hope you have that one hot item in there.

Marc
