Shakespeare WondOrod Oval Fly Rod (1955) - Value & Details

I have a Green with gold wraps WondOrod Oval double banner label. Also it says no. 1430 FFG. I have the cloth case along with the metal carrying case. Would like to know more about this rod and value. it is in very very nice condition. It sort of looks like it could be a combo spin fly rod. Thank You for your time

The code FFG tells me your rod was made by Shakespeare, Kalmazoo, Michigan, in April 1955 (first F is 195x, 2nd F is for 5, G is for April). This is fairly early in the fiberglass rod era after WWII.

I think your rod is fairly scarce and desirable - $75-100 range.
