Shore Fishing Setup for Myrtle Beach: Line, Weight & Leader

I plan to visit MB SC soon and do some shore fishing, how do I set-up the line, pyramid weight on the end and leader how far up?

Answer
I have fished here a few times actually and have had good luck off the shore with a rig like you described and the hook about 12 inches off the weight on about a 12 inch leader. You can also put two leader hooks up about 10 and 20 inches... We caught a lot of small sand sharks and some good croakers right off the shore but I am not sure what is there currently.
