Tee placements

What formula or system is used to determine the yardage of women's tees versus men's tees? Is the same method also used to determine men's senior(gold) tees?

I can honestly say that i don't know if there really is a method.  This is a course design or done by the designer of the course and then modified later if needed or wanted.  The course would determine where the tees would be and who should use what tee. The Pros play courses and different distances from 6700 to 7700 roughly. The person or body of people who run the tournament would determine tee and pin positions in that regard.   

If your talking about the ratings and slopes then there would be a method to determine that.
