I Want to Get Good

Question
Hi there. I am a beginning golfer in my mid-teens. I have clubs appropriately fitted for me and an urge to get better at golf. I was wondering if you had a schedule or something that had what amount of time I should allot to each club or distance. In each practice session I play, I will have about three hours, with access to a driving range and an 18 hole course. Thank you!

Answer
Hello there and thank you for asking... Wow aren't you just all set to be a golfer!  I am telling you one thing... it seems you have all the basics and setup to do what you need to do.  If you are in Southern Florida you should contact me and I can really help you get off on the right foot... or you should at least try to take a lesson from one of the better teaching pros in your area... there are only so many things someone can teach you over writing on the internet.

I think the best thing for you to do first is get an understanding of what the golf swing is... dont get TOO technical, but try to FEEL what it should be like to hit a ball, then do it athletically... go read Hogan's book... or Tiger's... only take the info that makes sense to you... there will be plenty of time for the rest later.

You should also read some of the relevant FAQ's
I have already taken time to write out which will give you
much better knowledge of your issue and then if you have any
additional questions you can also ask me from the FAQ page.

PLEASE read all of the below at least... because #1 you have to at least know all the proper terminology so that other's can help you... it doesnt help to go to a math class when you have to ask what is a number, right?
