Tee shot out of bounds

Question
If my tee shot goes out of bounds, can I use a tee for my 3rd shoT? Or do I just drop the ball on the tee for my 3rd shot.

Answer
Hey Chuckie,

When you hit a ball out of bounds from the tee box you are allowed to re-tee the ball just as you did the first time.

The penalty for OB or a lost ball is the same...it's caled "stroke and distance" and is basically the most severe punishment, short of something that would DQ you. In addition to adding the penalty stroke you have the misfortune of going back and playing your next stroke from where you played the last one.

Good luck, and keep it inside the white markers!
