Broken Golf Club Shaft? Should You Re-Shaft Your TaylorMade R7 SuperQuad?

Question
QUESTION: hi,recently bought a TAYLORMADE R7 SUPERQUAD off ebay,The shaft snapped,it was PLASTIC,is it worth it for me to re-shaft this head.

ANSWER: Hello Mark:  The shaft, I'm sure, is not plastic but graphite and yes, it would be worth it to have it re-shafted.  If fact, it would be worth going to a place like Edwin Watts and have them determine what shaft should be installed to best fit your swing.

Answer
Mark:  Just because the shaft broke doesn't necessarily mean it is a knock-off.  I don't know how to tell as I cannot see it.  You could contact Taylor Made and ask them; if there is a way to tell, they'll know.  http://www.taylormadegolf.com/customer_service.asp

Good luck Mark
