Senior flex for Ladies

Question
I am looking to buy a beginner set of golf clubs.  My golf instructor recommended that I get +1", graphite shaft, ladies flex with a wider grip because the ladies grips are too skinny for me.  How much difference is there between the ladies flex and senior flex?  I don't want to invest in custom clubs just yet and thought this might be a good option.

Answer
Hello Tricia,
I get this question often and it is a good option.
Senior and Ladies flex are nearly identical and will already have the longer length and larger grips.  So these might be perfect for you. You did not mention your height or wrist to floor measurement, I am assuming you are 5'8" or more which would make these a perfect fit.  I am not a big fan of customizing clubs too much, I think most people can play with standard sets and it make it a lot easier to trade in or sell in the future.

Go to a proshop or range that will let you try out a few of the clubs.

Enjoy,

Kim
