Question
hi i have been snowboarding for a couple of years, and are looking for some advice on boots and bindings.  i am looking for a stiffer boot, and stiff bindings that give good response.  in particular i am looking for aluminum bindings.  i also wondered about the thermo-forming boot liners.  are they worth the money?  i am an extra large binding size, so that makes it harder to find stuff.  please send suggestions on boots and bindings.
thanks, doug

Answer
Hi Doug,

I basically answered most of this question in your last question. As mentioned before, do some research at your local shops and online. Try on the gear you like and then look online for competitive prices. If you can wait for the new season to start, then you can test ride new gear at your local ski area(s). As for the thermo-forming boot liners, if you can afford it, go for it. The fit you will get will far surpass any other boot that doesn't have it. They will form to your feet and will feel like slippers. I've been using thermo liners in my ski boots for years. Be sure to try everything on before you buy.

Keep on boarding,
