Broken Ski

Question
Hi,

I was using a pair of 'demo' Nordic skis on the weekend and had a crash, no worse than I've had before, got up and kept skiing. At the end of the loop i noticed the top flailing and it has almost separated from the ski.
My question is; am I now liable for purchase of these or the repair of? Can I submit a warranty claim on these even if I didn't own them on the basis that they detonated after one fall?
In your experience what would be the best approach to take?

The shop I deal with is pretty good however there was no clear 'deal' regarding the use of the skis, I do though feel like they expected me to buy them after I had used them.
Thanks for any help.

Answer
Hi Tom and thanks for the question.

This is out of my area of knowledge im afraid.
I would think the shop in its rental should have this covered.
I would be getting them to contact the supplier as they will probably get
them replaced.  I would be sticking with the faulty manufacture line of defence.

They shouldnt split in a crash like that.

Unfortunatly if they deem it your fault - you will be bound
by the small print in the waiver you signed.
