Wrestling match in three days

Question
Im having a wrestling match in three days and I want to know as far as drilling, cardio, weights, diet and so forth what can I do to physically and mentally prepare so that I will be a monster out there and win my match. I sometimes black out as things start moving so fast and I subconsciously do moves, but its hard to think that way. How do I get all negative images and bad thoughts out of my mind? Thanks. Oh I wrestle at 160 and im a bit lighter and I sometimes have trouble with fast heavy muscular guys so some enlightenment will help. Thanks.

Answer
that's a toughy Mo.  with three days until the match i can't say there's anything else you can do.  once you get to within about a week of competition, you're really not going to make any significant improvements.  in the short term(i.e. with the 3 days you have), make sure you feel good.  keep your weight under control so that you're not too dehydrated or feeling too rundown when it comes time to wrestle.  but in the long term, say preparing for the following match(s); continue to drill and perfect those things you are comfortable doing. there is no substitute for the basics. always look to expand your comfort zone, make sure that you are comfortable with many different drills, holds, and positions. the best thing you can do for conditioning is to push yourself hard in practice. maybe have two partners to trade off when one gets tired.
as far as the fast, heavy, muscular guys.  not knowing how you wrestle or what you like to do on your feet or on top i can't say for certain.  but strong guys like to utilize their strength, they'll try and grab you and muscle you around.  so try and avoid that.  usually they're a little sloppy, they tend to make mistakes and hope that their strength will help them through it.  so if you can, you can force him to make a mistake and then capitalize.  sorry i couldn't be of more help, but if you keep working on it you'll see some improvements by year's end.  its evolutionary not revolutionary! good luck!
