Question
QUESTION: hi im 12 years old and want 2 become a pro wrestler unfortunately i'm 200 pounds but i cant commit 2 a workout program any help ? workouts? i'm VERY busy also i  need some advice florida championship wrestling or ohio valley wrestling. thanks  peace from the east  Deuce (wrestling name

ANSWER: How are you doing Spencer?

Well, you need to re-prioritize your life if you are serious about becoming a professional wrestler.  You do have time since you are only twelve.  There is stuff you can do to get youself in shape long before you are ready for the training regimen of becoming a wrestler.

Some of the things you can do are very simple.  Things like doing about 20 good push-ups and about 25 good situps when you wake up in the morning and when you go to bed at night.  When that gets easy, you increase by 10 until those become easy.  You can also work on your flexibility by always stretching for about 5 to 10 minutes before you do the push-ups/situps.  Secondly, when you have time, jog around the block where you live. Get alittle faster each time until that becomes easy...then make it two times around the block.

If you want to truly be a pro wrestler, start low and then go from there.  FCW and Ohio Valley are terribly expensive and you have to pay a tryout fee that is non-refundable even if they don't take you.  You are better off training at a local league in your area and get noticed by FCW and OVW, because they will get a contact and train you for free.  Until that time, training takes anywhere from 3 months to 8 months on average, plus workout time to keep yourself in ring shape and ready to go.  Then there's traveling to wrestling locations to ply what you know and get experience.  So with that being said, you need alot of time to dedicate to wrestling if you want to be a wrester.  It's not a hobby and if you treat it as such, you gain a bad reputation.

I'm definitely not dashing your dreams, I'm just making sure you understand that if you are too busy at 12, you will be too busy at 18.

I hope that answer helps you.  If you have any more questions, please let me know.

QUESTION: THANK you how do i find a local league? also should I invest in my own dumbells and such or go 2 the local gym (monthly fee) also what do u think of deuce as a wrestling name i also thought of caliber
         peace from the east  deuce

ANSWER: Good to talk to you again Spencer.

Finding a local league in your area is as simple as a google search with "professional wrestling schools in ____________ (your home town)" as the search.  From there, check out the sites that come up.  Also, watch for posters of wrestling in your area.

Personally, I would recommend a gym and for this reason.  I'm far from an expert on weight lifting and workout programs.  A gym you can get free advice from the regulars there.  Plus you can go to websites like bodybuilder.com for weight lifting ideas and nutrition ideas.

There was a Deuce in WWE about 5 years ago.  Personally, the name should be the last idea you work on.  Far more you should work on the gimmick (character) that you would like to portray.  Don't think of a WWE personality that you want to emulate, since you've never been in the ring.  You truly don't know what moves you can and cannot do.  Think of a peronality or character you would portray...but you have to be honest with yourself...If you are scared of heights, you don't want to do a chacter that would stand on the top rope alot (as an example).  Once you get an idea of the character you want to be...then you come up with a name.

Hope this helps

QUESTION: hi again, so i was on a school site and it said i would learn locker room etiquette there so what is it thanks.  when your in the wwe do you get to chose your own entrance and what u say when your your doing a promo.

Answer
Good to talk to you again Spencer.

Locker room etiquette is the way you interact with the wrestlers when you are not actually in front of the crowd.  You will learn things like:  Shaking hands and introducing yourself to every wrestler (even the superstars and legends will introduce themselves to you in the locker room), cleaning up after yourself and making sure others do as well, respect for the venue, kayfabe, and how to settle differences the right way and wrong way.  They might even teach you about ribs and how to take them.

If you make it to WWE, you will have very little actual control over anything related to your character.  Vince has song writers, story writers, graphic designers, and road agents.  Once you've been there for alittle while, you can suggest ideas to Vince or John Laurinaitis, but rarely do they make changes.  Everything is designed around the gimmick they have given you.

Hope this helps
