What if?

Question
Hi,

What if say 2 big main eventers are being scheduled for a huge match against each other, like Triple H/Stone Cold or Hulk Hogan/Randy Savage for example, but both guys point blank refuse to lose to each other? What would happen, would one be forced to lose? Would jobs be at risk? And also do you know of any times thats this has happened? I've read something about Jeff Jarret laying down for Hulk Hogan as Hogan refused to lose a WCW Title....is that right?

Answer
This has happened in the past.  Jobs are absolutely at stake!  It really doesn't happen much at all, but it does.  The best and most recent example is the big title change in the WWF (before the E)heavy weight title between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.  Bret was the Champ and not only was Hart surprised, but so was Michaels with the outcome.  I would fin that match on DVD-VHS and watch the biggest swerve job of the decade, because it was done by design by McMahon.
Most of the time it is "phatom" title change.  Jimmy Garvin & Steve Regal AWA TT champs who "lost" the belts to Curt Hennig and Scott Hall.
Not a hundred percent on the Jarrett-Hogan deal.  It wouldn't surprise me but I do not believ it happened because at that time in the WCW they were running on completely different angle planes.
