Give Cat Skiing a Chance on Your Next Vacation

2016/7/23 10:35:26

Skiing is definitely one of the most fun activities you could choose when you get that much anticipated vacation. There are some people that wouldn't trade lying in the sun on some island for nothing in the world, but for those that prefer physical activities skiing or heli skiing are the only choices. Those that haven't yet heard about cat skiing should know that it is skiing taken to the next level. When you hear about skiing you immediately think about skiing on slopes together with hundreds of people of all ages. Cat skiing requires you to descend on completely untouched slopes. This increases adrenaline and also your pleasure for this sport as you basically make your own way down.

Sure it is not recommended to tackle cat skiing if you do not have a pretty consistent experience with this sport because there are always chances that you become injured. If you, for example, have already been skiing for a few years now, going cat skiing is no problem. You will, of course, be required to attend to a safety training course if you decide to go along with your friends on a cat skiing trip. Heli ski and snowcat skiing are just names for the different means of transportation you choose to take up the mountain to the point where you start your descent. The type of cat skiing where you use a helicopter get at the top of the slope is called heli ski.

You can take many friends with you on a heli ski trip as most companies specializing in heli ski tours have numerous helicopters of various sizes to accommodate their clients. Meals and lodging are of course included in a heli ski service package along with certain heights. If you and your friends want to start your descent from higher up the mountain you will be required to pay extra for that distance. The pilots that fly heli ski helicopters receive special training for this type of trips and maintain communication with the base to make sure that bad weather will not lead to big delays. Going on a heli ski trip is definitely something that you will want to try again.

If you go on a heli ski or a snowcat skiing trip in Canada, for example, you will have some of the best mountain views anywhere on this planet from the moment you wake up to the time when your descending on a fresh new slope at high speeds. Snowcat skiing is also basically cat skiing only you will use a snowcat to get you up the mountain. Snowcat skiing is just like taking the bus, only a bus that can be driven on even the roughest portions of the mountain. Both heli ski and snowcat skiing options are great and you have to choose the one that suits your group's expectations best. If for example some of the members in your group are not keen on flying with a helicopter or you might want a less costly solution then snowcat skiing is the way to go.
