Singles Ski Holidays!

2016/7/23 15:03:20

If you are single there is no better way to holiday than with a bunch of like-minded singles. Skiing holidays for singles or solo travellers need not be boring or lonely. If you want to meet like minded people, skiing and snowboarding are the perfect sociable sports in which to do so. You can choose Europe for your memorable Skiing Singles Holidays.

Situated at the base of Europe’s highest mountain Mont Blanc (4810 M) in the French Alps on the borders of Switzerland and Italy, Chamonix is one of Europe’s largest and liveliest ski resorts. Skiers and snowboarders are spoilt for choice with the offer of five mountains, each boasting vast and varied terrain with something to suit everyone, whether beginner or pro.

A singles ski trip Holiday can be as simple as a day or two alone on the slopes, or as extensive as a whole solo ski vacation.

Some skiers enjoy the freedom to ski at their own pace and level of difficulty all day; others hope to hook up with a ski buddy.

A ski lesson is always a good idea, to brush up on skills. For single skiers, a group ski lesson is also a good chance to socialize a bit, and maybe even meet someone to ski with in the afternoon.
Many ski areas have a summit lodge where solo skiers can gather.
Eating and drinking establishments in nearby towns also often have a thriving night-life.
Meeting people on the lifts can be an opportunity to strike up a conversation, and, occasionally, meet someone to ski with.
On a small ski mountain on a weekday, solo skiers are likely to see the same people several times, and skiers who seem to be single travelling up and down the mountain at the same general pace sometimes hook up for a few runs or take a lunch break together.
On crowded weekends, take advantage of the singles lane! Lift lines for triples and quad lifts frequently have a singles lane for skiers without partners. These lanes pair up people so that each chair goes up at full capacity, and the lift lines move faster. The singles lane moves a lot faster than the regular lines, so take advantage of single status.

A chilled-out solo holiday break or something to awaken your sense of adventure. Solo Activity holidays really can be a relaxing experience!
