Ski Vail... Its All About The Kids Skiing Fun!

Vail village looks like a Bavarian resort with hotels having German names and the parking lots having so many Mercedes Benzes. However, Vail is a ski resort and skiing here is the ultimate experience. The powder here is perfect and the slopes nearly free of ice. Even if you spend a week holidaying here, you will not be able to cover all the 89 trails on the northern side of Vail Mountain.

This resort is the perfect family resort which caters to adults as well as children. Any family coming here on holiday will return to spend another memorable vacation as everyone has fun here. Your children will have ample opportunities to learn skiing if they have not already learned it.

In fact Vail runs one of the most successful ski schools for children in the United States. The school is so popular that its model has been taken by many other ski schools around the country. The school has something to offer children of any age group.

The skiing program is available for children as young as 3 years, and you can be assured that your little ones will be well taken care of. There are skiing centers in the village that opens early in the morning and you can leave your children there and not worry about them until 4.30 p.m. The centers also double up as baby-sitting services if you do not want your children to learn skiing. The centers are well-equipped with toys and other amusement items to keep your children busy the entire day.

However, those who have the aptitude for skiing are taught at beginner's slope which located just behind the center. Once the children become conversant with using their skis to stop, the ski instructors make them don on a luminescent life "jacket" so that other skiers can stop them from far. All beginners ski down the slopes without using ski poles and their bright life vest look like little fire engines weaving down the mountain.

Older children can go to ski classes without an accompanying adult. So, if your children are older than 6, you can enjoy your time without worrying too much. Even lunch is taken care of for all children as long as you pay for it. Older and/or experienced children can ski down expert trails, or the mogul trails.

Whether your children are beginners or intermediate or advanced skiers, there are ample opportunities for them to have fun in Vail. They will have so much fun that they will be begging to return year after year. This also explains why Vail gets so many return visits from families because both adults and children enjoy themselves equally.

Vail is especially sensitive to the needs of young skiers and it has gone out of its way to fulfill that need. Toddlers, and youngsters have something to keep them busy -- they have the opportunity to learn skiing under the best guidance available while you can enjoy yourself as if you were single again!
