Musky Gear ( PLEASE HELP!!!!!! )

I am really gonna try and get into Musky fishing this year. I am a big G Loomis fan and have alot of their gear, what i'm wondering is if anyone has any other suggestions as far as rods and reels go, for Musky. Loomis stuff is great but it is quit expensive and i don't want to waste $400 on a pole that i'm not gonna use alot. I was gonna pair it with a Curado 300E for the extra line capacity.....Any good suggestions would be greatly appreciated....
