fly rod

Question
I have a rod that I have no Idea what it,s age or what it is  worth..!!I will describe it as best as possible..  It  says   Wright and  Mcgill,,  Denco  7 FT,  The  ## is  (MB8A7)It  also reads   LINE   6... Can you  give  me any information possible...Thank  You>>

Answer
Terry,
I'm not sure of the value, but Wright-Mcgill made a lot of good fly rods.  It may help if you contact the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame.  They can help with valuing your rod.  You have to be very cautious of individual tackle appraisers, as I've known a few who have not told people the truth, and obtained the item for far below its value.
You can find the Hall of Fame's website at http://www.freshwater-fishing.org/  Their address and phone number are available there.  Hopefully they can help, and if not I'll see whom else I may be able to come up with for you.
Best of fishing,
Dan
