Hot Tips For Fast Ice Skating

2016/7/23 15:22:38

Whether you are chasing down an ice hockey puck with two tough guys coming up behind you on the ice rink, looking to build up speed for that elusive trick that is your latest challenge, or simply love the thrill of icy wind in your face as you enjoy public skating in Hong Kong, speed is never a bad thing when you are on the ice rink.

Having that speed on tap is a little more complicated than simply buying rocket-shoes with a little more horsepower, though! A combination of training for ice events, buying the right skate shoes, and several simple technique tips and tricks can really help you power ahead on the ice.

The most important factor in how fast you can get on the ice rink, whether you are playing ice hockey in Hong Kong, competing in figure skating in Hong Kong, or simply racing your mates in a public skating session, is the fit of your skates.

It is incredibly difficult to practice with hired skates from a public skating facility - you need skates that are custom-fit to your feet for maximum power. Any slippage inside the skate is force lost on the push-stroke, and if your skates are too small, rather than too large, your feet won't be able to spread properly for pushing.

Price is less of a factor when buying skates than proper fit.One trick which can really help you build up speed during ice events is switching from thinking about bending your knees, to telling yourself to "load your legs".

You'll find that it amounts to much the same thing - however that slight mental change help[s you to shift your muscles for power and forward motion, rather than passive knee bends which then make you catch yourself to prevent falling!

One essential ingredient for fast public skating in Hong Kong, and especially figure skating in Hong Kong, is that you work smarter, not harder.

To work smarter, think back to all the things your figure skating coach in Hong Kong said, all those years (or weeks!) ago, and ensure you apply them. Technique is speed, when it comes to figure skating in Hong Kong, ice hockey, and even public skating.

Other important ingredients for ensuring you are the fastest skater you can be are mental tips and tricks. Making the decision to become a faster skater is a key one of these!

It sounds simple and obvious, however the affirmation and sense of purpose can make a real difference to your training routine for ice hockey in Hong Kong or other ice events. Treat yourself as an athlete, committing to healthy eating schedules and training paths, practice your stride and style repetitions in the right way, and generally give a commitment.

You also need to realize that despite the fact that you may work out with a friend or a team, if you are public skating in Hong Kong or playing ice hockey in Hong Kong, YOU are the one that must get better and faster.

Don't allow yourself to be caught up in the desire to "not stand out" - so many of us find that we automatically match our speed to our team mates or training partner's. Match your speed to the most you can do, and you will slowly but surely become a faster skater.
