2016/7/26 14:52:33

A pop up camping tent can be a boon or a stroke of bad luck, depending on how a person may view the situation. There are various forms of a pop up tent which have many different purposes. These kinds of tents can be used for parties, tents which can be assembled at a drop of a hat, while there are also pop up camping tents that use only the force of one person to poke the poles into the slots for it to stand properly. A camping shower tent can also be a pop up tent since this can be easy to put up.

Pop Up Camping Tent Description

The pop up camping tent is essentially a small type of tent which usually just shelters one single individual. The person who uses the pop up camping tent usually carries several small flexible poles which can be attached to each other via holes of slots in the end of each pole. This makes the pop up camping tent quite flimsy by tent standards and only suitable for use when the weather is pretty good without any chance of a thunderstorms, heavy rains and strong winds.

A pop up camping tent usually has seams in which some of the connected or joined poles are inserted into to form the basic frame of the tent. Since lightness is the emphasis for a pop up camping tent, the materials used for such a shelter is usually light and not bulky. The poles may be durable and strong but not heavy or rigid, while the tent material is supposed to be water proof but not to heavy to burden the person carrying it.

Rain may enter the tent since a thick coating of silicone or polyurethane may make the material heavy. This means that many of the pop up camping tents may not be waterproof enough to bear the assault of torrential rains. A slight drizzle may be rebuffed but heavy rains are an impossibility. Strong winds can also toss the pop up camping tent around when the person is not yet in it, anchoring it to the ground.

The pop up camping tent also has limited space. In fact, many of these are for single occupancy only. The flooring may not be as thick as other tents so a ground mat may be necessary to keep the individual free from the cold damp earth. The lightweight pop up camping tent definitely has its advantages when it comes to weight and convenience but pales when it comes to rains and cold.
