Why Camping Is So Great!

2016/7/26 17:39:11

Why go on an expensive vacation when you can save money and go camping? You can still get away but have all the added benefits of camping. Camping is so much better than to just go to a boring old hotel.

Getting a good nights rest and getting in sync with Circadian Rhythm. The Circadian Rhythm is nature's clock when it is light out you're up and when it is dark you're asleep. By eliminating artificial light, this happens naturally when camping which helps improve your sleeping ability

Boosting vitamin D levels from exposure to the sun during non-peak hours.(not a sentence) This is helpful because vitamin D maintains the levels of phosphate and calcium preventing osteoporosis and keeping bones strong. By having good vitamin D levels you can ward off depression and prevent heart attacks, high blood pressure and some form of cancers.

By increasing oxygen intake, increasing sunlight exposure and increased physical activity you increase Serotonin the chemical that our body produces to cause us to feel happy. Learning to be calm, enjoying the little things, releasing the complexity of life allows one to be positive and have clarity. Leaving the job, being on the computer for long periods of time, paying the bills, and life's demands at home can take a toll on you. When you go camping it refreshes and recharges you.

Camping can also be a fabulous social outlet. Meeting new people along the way and sharing experiences over campfire or hikes or other outdoor activities is a great way to make new friends. Getting your kids outdoors instead of on the computer or watching TV is a great way to get them to play again. Going camping allows you you to spend some great quality time with your family and friends.

Once you are camping you will increase your problem solving skills because you will need to find a place to camp, set up tents, think what to cook, set up campfires etc. Using your cognitive thinking skills to think through these problems teaches you to think for yourself and gives you the confidence that you can take with you when you go home to your regular life.

Guess what while camping you will be eating healthy. Cooking fresh food will decrease preservatives and bad fats. There are no fast food places while camping. It is just you and your grill. Camping even helps you lose weight because you are eating healthy and exercising when you're hiking, and setting up camp. Can you have all these benefits from staying at a hotel?
