Along with a first aid kit, you must also have a map, knife, flashlight, waterproof fire starter, compass, whistle, personal shelter and warm clothing.

2.Stay Away From Wild Animals

Animals might seem cute and harmless but they are extremely impulsive and could be very defensive and protective. Thus you must always stay alert and attentive of your surrounds. In many cases, they are more scared of us and will run off. Do not try to feedstuff wild animals. Most damages take place when we try to feed them. Avoid feeding them and keep your food stored away securely or hang it with a tree. Do not preserve food in your camp.

3.Supervise Your Kids Efficiently

Teach your kids to stay in your sight and don't let them to wonder around. Give each of them a whistle to keep with them or wear around their neckline to use in an emergency. Decide to gather on a location in case someone gets lost. Think about ID bracelets and keep a photo of your kids with you if they get out of sight.

4.Never Hike Alone

Try to avoid hiking alone, rather go with a friend all the time. Tell somebody about your plans. At all times take sufficient amount of water, snacks, flashlight and matches. Don't overlook to take your compass and track maps. A GPS might also be a good addition. Be conscious of the weather conditions. Remember, not to use a stove inside your tent or at some confined area.

5.Be Aware of Poisonous Creatures

Be aware of poisonous creatures like snakes spiders, and other creepers. Walk carefully and be cautious while deciding on sticks or rocks and look through before taking a seat. Once more, snakes are normally more scared of us, but if they feel vulnerable or you make quick movements they may possibly attack. So, try to stay calm and move away gradually from them.
