The body is a major benefactor of bike riding. Endurance and stamina is built up over time as the muscles become stronger. Balance is improved from being on just two wheels. All of this exercise helps you to burn calories and lose weight at a good rate.

The mind can also find value in a good bike ride. Stress will flow out of you when you are on your bike. You end up feeling more peppy and alive no matter if you are using your bike for exercise or are on errands.
