Cycling Training Programmes Tips & Advice

2016/7/26 16:18:03

No matter you are a beginner or part-time cyclist, having a proper cycling training programme is undoubtedly a must for you; if you want to achieve your goals. Your goal might be to participate in The Pearl Izumi Tour Series, Prudential Ride London, Charity Cycling Events and even multi-days tours. Whatever your goal, you need to prepare for it in advance. Moreover, you need to follow a solid plan. All professional cyclists will tell you that they have their own personalized training plans for cycling which they adhere to; because without a proper cycling training plan, your training will be incomplete. You can’t just go out and ride around aimlessly on your bicycle until your limit and think that you have really practiced a lot. It’s just like riding for fun. Below are useful tips & advice that you must consider while following a cycling training programme.
Proper Nutrition
Many people don’t include proper nutrition in their cycling training programme. Keep in mind that hydration and energy are the main elements for surviving longer cycling events. You will lose a lot of body fluid and slats during the training which is the major cause of weight loss.
You should measure your body weight before and after training and intake equal amounts of fluids during your training. You must have a balanced diet because you require the energy to preserve the demands of a solid training. A balanced diet is one that has a good combination of carbohydrates and proteins. Always take a protein rich diet during the training because it helps in muscle building, particularly in gluts and guards. Also, take proper amount of carbohydrates (found in many sports bars and drinks) because it helps your body in absorbing the protein.
Adequate Rest
There are many who practice daily for long hours without a break while ignoring the fatigue signs of their bodies which ultimately left them puzzled as to why they are not getting desired results. Keep in mind, just as training is important, it is also necessary to give enough time for rest and recovery of body after the whole day’s hard work.
Clear Goals
Decide the hours of your daily cycling training programme while considering the capacity of your body. Otherwise, you will just hang on the mileage albeit the maximum time of race is just 2 hours. In order to avoid wrong training, make sure you have a clear goal in your mind. If you are preparing for a shorter race or event, you should focus more on leg work. However, if you are preparing for longer race of events, focus on your stamina and cardiovascular health.

An Advanced Cycle Training Programme when followed properly under the guidance of a professional Coach can potentially improve one’s cycling stamina & muscle strength. The cycle training course should be selected & followed properly on the basis of training needs & goals. An expert trainer can guide you in the right & positive way which will eventually boost your cycling performance and your health as well. Anyone should choose the most appropriate Cycle Training Courses as per his Psychological & fitness goals. While considering a fitness plan you must focus on your personal goals for getting the best results. You should be well aware about how to trounce your strengths & overpower your weaknesses.

Although, a lot of sources like Bicycle Videos & Bike Dvd’s are available on the internet & in the market for getting cycling tips & guidance for Bike coaching. But still, no source is as effective & potential as the professional cycling coaches who can suggest you bespoke Cycling Training Programmes tailored according to the individual cycling needs & aims of a cyclist.
