Simms Photo Contest: Week 1 Winner & New Photo Topic

2016/7/16 10:47:38

Last week we kicked off a contest that gives you a chance to really prove your photography skills. Simms is giving away a pair of their new Pursuit GORE-TEX shoes every Monday for the next five weeks to one lucky photographer, starting today. One of the five weekly winners will then be selected to win a pair of Simms G3 Guide waders and get his or her photo displayed on SimmsFishing.com. The first topic in the contest was landscapes, and the first pair of Pursuit shoes goes to Joe Cantrell from Oregon, who shot the photo below.

“The drama of the sky is very powerful in Joe’s image," says Rich Hohne from Simms. "Joe captures that drama with precision in this winning photo.”  To take a look at the runners up in the landscape category, check out this photo gallery.

This week's photo topic is fishing with friends. So email your shots of you and your buddies on the water to [email protected] and check back next Monday to see which one the Simms crew chose as the winner. All "fishing with friends" photos must be received by midnight on May 8th. If you missed them last week, click here for full contest details.
