Fall is a busy time of year for the king of bass fishing, Kevin VanDam.

From finishing up the current Elite Series tour; fishing in two Major League Fishing events; appearing at various sponsor events and media camps; getting in some deer hunting time with his two sons; and following his beloved Detroit Lions NFL football team; there's literally no shortage of busy autumn activity for KVD.

But sometimes, VanDam just has to tear himself away from the smorgasbord of fall commitments and options because the bass fishing during the season can be good.

And in some cases, it can be really good, spectacularly good, literally some of the best of the year.
