Guadalupe Bass Diet: What They Eat & Hunting Habits

Guadalupe bass feed on a variety of prey including aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates, and fishes. Prey items include mayflies, beetles, true flies, hymenoptera, plecopterans, trichopterans, lepidopteran larvae, amphipods, isopods, crayfish, terrestrial ants, grasshoppers, crickets, worms, dragonflies, stoneflies, and fishes such as the Comal Springs salamander, and the fountain darter.
