Sea Bass Habitat: Where to Find These Popular Fish

Sea bass are generally found in shallow coastal waters, such as bays, estuaries, and reefs, usually at a water depth of 1 foot to 130 feet. They are relatively common in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean, from the Gulf of Maine to South Carolina, and in the Gulf of Mexico. They are also found in the eastern Atlantic, western Indian Ocean, and western Pacific Ocean.
