Texas Fishing License Requirements for Seniors & Exemptions

Yes, seniors are required to buy a fishing license in Texas. However, there are some exceptions.

* Persons 65 years of age and older: No fishing license is required for persons 65 years of age and older who are residents of Texas.

* Persons with a disability: No fishing license is required for persons with a disability who are residents of Texas.

* Persons under 17 years of age: No fishing license is required for persons under 17 years of age.
