Protect your cell phone from water damage!

2016/7/18 11:46:10

If you are like me, your cell phone is as important as your tackle box and rod and reel to your fishing experience. As an Ambassador, I rely on my cell phone for video, pictures, and to stay in touch with friends and family while on the water. And with the new smart phone I can also write blogs and check email as I fish for largemouth bass from my canoe. In this blog I would like to share a recent product that I purchased with fellow ambassadors and fellow anglers, my new watertight cell phone dry box.

So far I have lost two cell phones from a canoe tip over incident and falling in while I was fishing. Most warranties and insurance for cell phones do not include water damage I have learned this lesson the hard way. However, the folks at Outdoor Products have provided cheap insurance for the clumsy anglers like me.
The dry box securely holds my phone as well as my fishing license. It is lightweight, and compact making it fit right inside the front pocket of my tackle bag.

Made of ultra-clear polycarbonate shatterproof material it is durable enough for my haphazard antics in the outdoors. It comes with a woven leash with a swivel clip and can be attached to your belt loop for quick and easy access to photos and calls.
A durable latch closure and a tight gasket seal ensure a watertight seal. The cell phone box is not intended to be submerged under water, so for the guys at Hook n? look may want to do something different, or leave their phones in the boat.
The Cell Phone Dry box measures 6 in x 1.6 in x 2.9 in     Overall I am impressed with not only the quality of the box, but with a price of around $5.00 it is an investment for protecting those smart phones.  My local Wal-Mart had these in blue and orange for only $5.00.

Happy Fishing!
