Vancouver Island Steelhead & Salmon Fishing Report - Fishwestcoast
The rivers on Vancouver Island are now full of Salmon and Steelhead. Chinook salmon are in the rivers now, so it's a great time to start fishing egg patterns for trout hanging just below the salmon reads.
With all the rain most anglers are using pink worms and pink marabou jigs fished under a float to catch em. Try and locate "walking speed" water and fish the seams, with many hook ups occuring in the tailout sections of the pools.
Anglers should use caution when walking the rivers and streams as many Black bears are feasting on the large supply of Salmon.
