Still a little bit of snow up there.
I headed up the mountain for a little camping and fishing this weekend
with the family. Still I was surprised
to find the road blocked by snow drifts followed by a snowfield to the lake
right at 11,000ft.
We still headed up to the lakes above the snow which were ice free,
fishing was slow and short. Walking
through the snow and occasionally punching through the top surface of the 4-5
ft deep snow it was tough to stay dry.
The scenery was great and
the end lake was in sight.
Right away a beautiful cutthroat was caught and several more were seen.
But the fishing was short
lived as wet feet made us head back down.
