Mississippi Lake: A Guide for Fishing & Boating in Carleton Place

The majority of my fishing takes place on the Mississippi Lake.  Not only is it an amazing lake for fishermen and  boaters of all kinds, its beautiful!  From the awesome sunsets, to the echo of the loons in the evening. I love fishing on the Mississippi Lake!
The main boat launch is located at the end of Riverside Park (The far end of Lake Ave. West, in Carleton Place ) There is a launch parking fee, and season passes are available at the town hall.  There is also a public gravel launch located down HWY 7 at Concession 7A. 
The Mississippi Lake is home to many species of fish including- Perch, Sunfish, Crappie, Walleye, Pike, Largemouth Bass, and Smallmouth Bass. 
The lake has an average depth of 9 feet, and at its deepest is 30ft.
