Solid vs. Fenced Round Pens for Horse Training: Pros & Cons

solid round pen   hello sir, what are the uses of solid round pens, how good they are in schooling a young racehorse when compared to a fenced round pen?

Answer
I do not feel a solid round pen is of any extra benefit unless you have a horse who simply will not pay attention to what task is being asked of him because of outside distractions. I have used both and prefer a pen with some visibility to the outside. Some trainers may have a preference, so I may not be able to give you an answer that you may be looking for.
