Winterizing Your Golf Game- Okay, It is really almost Here

2016/7/19 14:23:03

For all golf aficionados residing in the North are reaching the end of the season. Depending on where you reside you might find a few golf courses open through the winter season, and based on how much you love the sport and your level of sanity you might like to try going off to play. This article will become a short primer on a number of the points to keep in mind without the need to be concerned about water hazards because they're covered with ice.

Probably the smartest thing you can do is walk the golf course rather than take a cart, except when you'll find one that's heated. The round of golf will take a little longer yet the steady movement can really help. Next will be instead of putting on heavy clothing, put on layers of clothing and in those layers keep windbreakers to cut down the wintry breeze against your skin. Wearing waterproof golf footwear with heavy socks will assist, as will using those large hand warmers which fit over all, including your golf glove.

But as long as you're actually a vigorous kind keeping warm is going to be the easy element; playing reasonable golf will be the real challenge. That is why it is crucial that you decrease your expectations. When you are bundled up as though you're taking a trek to the North Pole, you cannot expect you'll make the same shots as you could during summertime. If you do intend to score well you will have to do it in the short golf game: putting, pitching plus chipping your golf ball.

Golf course management will also have to be a major part of your game. Because you won't have the ability to take a really long swing because of the restrictions of the clothing you wear, this might be best to establish a punch golf shot. On a cold day it will likely be a better way to generate golf ball contact, but it is likely to alter our regular game. It will require greater position golf plus depending more on a person's short game, that element in the game that will not become as influenced by the weather. Also, decreasing your tempo of your swing should help.

Most golf lovers are content to practice their golf game indoors during the winter months. One additional option is to go south for a winter golf break. There are some outstanding options in the Caribbean, in Florida along with other places where they play the game year-round is something I have chosen to do. But as long as you don't take winter golf in the north too seriously it certainly will fill the desire to go outside and hit that white ball.
