Golf Swing Perfection Is Alive And Well

Is the perfect golf swing nothing but a myth? As a golf fan, you probably noticed that each of the greatest players in history had completely different swings, yet each of them was successful. Well the fact remains that every rule is not applicable to everyone and vice versa. Some swings may look strange, some may look impossible but your success depends on your ability to produce a repeatable, consistent swing action through practice. If you managed to develop your own style and remained with it for years, you will be a successful golf player, no matter how weird your swing may look. While it is an accepted fact even by most of the golf players that the most vital thing to get a specific swing is setup, aim and grip.

It is not as hard to get that golkf swing. What ruins it is too much planning, thinking and analyzing. It usually begins with a solid rhythm. It is necessary for you to get an ideal situation of stability and motion as that your rhythm becomes smooth over a period of time. A fast backswing will simply kill your shot. At that point, the body will not be able to cooperate with the club and your contact with the ball will be very weak. You need to practice to move the club slowly backwards without taking a backward swing. One will require power only when the swing goes down and not the converse of it.

Aim for the perfect balance between your feet, this is where a good golf swing starts. There has to be that movement felt in your soles. As you turn around to make the move, raise your arms directly proportional with your turn. As the weight of your body is getting shifted to the right side when taking a backswing you need to keep the shoulder and hip movement to the least. The turn of your body has to match the turn of the golf swing. You should keep this under control as you will lose sight of the downswing and the ball as well.

The secret for a successful shot lies between the backswing and the downswing. Your downswing must follow the same arc as the backswing. Try placing a hula hoop over your shoulders whilst resting on the top of your arms as you practice the swing. This way you will strike a balance. You should move your power from your body to your arms and later to the club. It is only with repeated practice that you will know when to curtail your backswing. Also, for a good transmission of weight and power, you need concentration.
