Featured Places to Play Golf in Scottsdale
The Ken Cavanaugh designed Gold Canyon Sidewinder Course, our first choice for places to play golf in Scottsdale, offers the perfect mix of challenge and reward for the golfer. Similar to its sister course, Dinosaur, in spectacular scenery, the Sidewinder plays slightly easier and costs less. With a slope of 130 on this 6,600-yard, par 71 course, it's still a real challenge for golfers of every level, but does play easier than Dinosaur's 7,000-yard, par 70 with a slope of 143. Eighteen holes will cost around $85 and $100 on Sidewinder. These two sister courses are considered "must play" courses for golf in Scottsdale.

Arthur Hills designed Stonecreek Golf Club as a desert links style course that anyone can play and enjoy golf in Scottsdale. This par 71, 6,900-yard course offers slopes between 125 and 131, and features water on five holes. But, just because there aren't loads of water hazards don't think this course isn't a challenge. Arthur Hills has made good use of a rock-filled desert wash that will come into play on almost every hole. This course won't hurt your wallet or your spirit.

For both challenge and beauty, another great place to play golf in Scottsdale is at the Sanctuary Golf Course at Westworld. This Randy Heckenkemper designed par 71 with a slope of 135 features natural terrain and wetlands throughout the 6,624 yards of this challenging 80-acre course. The par three eighth will awe you with a large water feature complete with two waterfalls. Enjoy this or any of our other featured places to play golf in Scottsdale.
