2016/7/19 15:43:02

Golf is a growing sport among America's youth. The popularity of players like Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Annika Sorenstam are contributing to the growth of golf in the youth culture. Young women are becoming a growing presence in the golfing community and they are experiencing the many benefits of playing golf. For young women golfers, there is a variety of equipment and tournaments available to choose from.

Golf is a great game for young women to learn. The game teaches valuable life lessons such as honesty, integrity, and patience. The game allows for young ladies to get out of the house and enjoy the great outdoors while playing the game. The game is also a great source for exercise as walking, swinging and carrying the bag can create quite the workout.

There are a variety of associations intended to help young women learn and play golf. The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and United States Golf Association (USGA) have joined forces to provide an environment for young girls to enjoy playing golf competitively as well as for fun. The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) also hosts several tournaments for junior boys and girls alike.

Equipment for Junior Girls

Finding equipment for young women who want to play golf is as simple as a search on the Internet. For very young girls the equipment will likely be the same equipment you would buy for a young boy. Only when the girl becomes older will you see equipment differences. The main differences are the loft of the club face and stiffness of the shaft. Clubs for girls will typically have higher lofts, especially on the woods, and the shaft will be more flexible that what most boys would use.
