Golf Muscle Memory

2016/7/19 15:46:13

Golf muscle memory is one of the most overlooked aspects of improving an individual's golf game. Many people spend hours reading golf magazines, putting together a patchwork of advice and constantly adjusting how they swing a golf club. This is a terrible strategy because when you are constantly rearranging a set of swing components that don't really fit together, you are never going to improve your game. The best way to develop a swing that you can use of the rest of your golfing days is to take some lessons from a pro, build your mechanics, and practice till the sun goes down.

By doing this you will be able to build your golf muscle memory into a fluid and powerful tool that comes as second nature. This foundation of a mechanically sound swing combined with hours of practice can lead you to the promised land of a single digit handicap. Many specialized clubs are designed to improve your muscle memory and improve your game.

Many people just don't seem to realize that golf is really not that different from any other sport. It all comes down to proper form and practice, creating a mindset where you can just do it without thinking. Much like throwing a football or kicking a soccer ball, successfully hitting straight and true shots comes as a result of doing it over and over until your golf muscle memory is wired into your brain.

When and Where to Work on Your Golf Muscle Memory

You can do this anytime, anywhere. You don't have to be on the range, working your way through the bag, striking ball after ball. You can do this in front of the mirror, in the backyard, or just about anywhere. Visualizing and practicing your learned swing everyday and using muscle memory increasing practice aids can help you overcome the problems in your game.
