When Visiting A Country Club For The First Time For Golfing

2016/7/19 16:15:32

As known to all, a country club is a clubhouse having golf course which is open to the members only. These clubs provide several services to their members which may make their experience of visiting the clubs quite enjoyable like dining, showers, restrooms etc. usually these clubs may be joined by paying a lifetime joining fee and an annual fee. If you have plans of joining such a club in the near future, you must make some preparations while visiting the club for the first time for golfing.

You must understand the rules of the course. Different club houses own different types of clubs, so the rules vary from club to club. Usually, the rules of the club are available with the club house management team. The rules are also explained to the golfers at the first tee. You must obey these rules and other golfing etiquettes.

Most of the clubs have a dress code. Usually, they want their golfers to wear collared shirts and formal trousers made especially for the game. Some of the clubs allow shorts instead of trousers. This dress should be accompanied by a matching pair of golf shoes. If you wear trousers, make sure that the socks match perfectly with them. With shorts, light colored socks look good.

One of the biggest problems a person faces while golfing for the first time in a club is how much tip should be given to the assistants and attendants. If your country club is good enough to provide you a caddie, you need to offer him with about 50 percent of the caddie fee as a tip. Whereas a forecaddie should be given $50 to $100 by a group of four persons. You also need to tip the cart attendant, beverage cart attendant, bag drop attendant, valet attendant etc. The starters stand eligible for the tip only when they do some special favor to you like to provide you the desired tee time.

Reaching to the club punctually also comes under golfing etiquettes. You should be there at least before twenty minutes of your tee time. It's not easy to get a tee time at a reputed golf course, so if you get a tee time, try not to miss it. Those who come late are usually asked to wait till the next available free slot.

Las Vegas is home to some very exotic country clubs. Select a perfect one near to your house and be its member. Usually these memberships are being provided at very reasonable rates.
