Take up golf and get some exercise

2016/7/19 16:16:48

It has become increasingly apparent over the past few years that people in the UK need to do more exercise. Many people are not as active as they should be, while they eat unhealthily and do not get their recommended five portions of fruit and vegetables a day. For many, they work hard during the week and are too tired or too busy to find the time to do some exercise.

This is causing more and more people to become overweight and it is a growing problem in the UK. There are many sports individuals can try if they want to get more active, while they can also go to the gym and work out after a hard day at the office. However, many people can be put off some sports because they require a great deal of effort and seem like a lot of hard work.

To solve this problem, those who need to introduce some exercise into their life but do not like anything too active could try playing golf. Although it may not seem like it, golf actually provides people with plenty of exercise as they will usually play an 18-hole game. This will involve walking up and down fairways - which are hundreds of yards long - around greens and to the tee of the next hole.

Although it may not seem like they are doing anything that requires a great deal of exertion, they are actually getting plenty of exercise as they walk around the golf course. Plus, the action of swinging to hit the ball will also provide players with exercise. This is something they will do when playing a game, as well as when they head to the driving range to practice their swing in their spare time.

Another good thing about golf is that it will not seem like exercise as people can play in a big group with their friends, making it a social activity as well as something that gives them a work out. As well as catching up as they make their way around the course, players can also get together at the club house at the end of their game for a chat.

In short, golf is a sociable game that can be enjoyed by a lot of people, no matter how good they are at hitting the ball. Individuals do not have to be a pro to make their way around a course, and will have a great time as they are doing so.
