Why You Need a Golf Clubs Rental Service

2016/7/19 16:17:07

Golf is a sport where players utilize many different precision clubs to hit and put a small ball to a hole (or pin). That is, to play this sport, you have to have the necessary equipment aside from the power and accurate swings. While owning the tools is the primary option, here are some reasons a golf clubs rental service may be helpful.

Invitation

Hanging out with friends can sometimes lead to us to a scenario we have not prepared ourselves for, including being invited to play a sport we don't truly play, but want to try. In this case, you would probably think where in the world you will get the equipment to count yourself in. Fortunately, golf shops that allow you to rent clubs also incorporate some freebies with the rental, like golf balls, tees, shoes, etc.

Being invited to play golf by a friend from another country in their local golf courses is another scenario where renting golf clubs is helpful. Some golf rental services even deliver your equipment straight to the venue. You just have to book, and then come and play.

Newbie

As a new comer in the sport of golf, you would want to try a lot of things first before investing on something that will improve your game. This may include trying out different golf clubs so to decide the best for your statistics. Since golf rentals offer different sets, grouped from beginners to advanced players, it allows you to get a grip on different clubs and determine which club is a fit according to your height, swing, power, etc.

Vacation

Carrying a heavy baggage full of clothes and other things is already a hassle thing to enduring when traveling for a vacation, let alone adding some weight and bulkiness to your load when you bring your golf equipment with you for some swinging and putting in your destination. Visiting far away golf courses can be stressful, especially when you don't have someone to help carry your equipment. And so, instead of bringing your golf set with you, why not rent the same equipment from any available golf shop in your destination and be hassle-free on your golf vacation.

Practice

Golf rental shops provide different options for you to choose from. This is perfect for someone wanting to try certain golf clubs first before buying. Another reason why renting would be ideal for practice games is not to wear your own set, which you use in tournaments or other important occasions. Or, if you don't want to bring your set to practice games for some reasons, then renting, if not borrowing, is an option.

Expenses

Depending on your skill level, having your own set of golf clubs can be expensive, especially when you only consider golf as a past time recreation. Depending on the brand and equipment you want to have, you could easily burn $1300 bucks for a completely brand-new golf set. That's a lot of money for a non-PGA tour player, I may say.

Renting the equipment would allow you to enjoy different sets. Plus, you don't have to worry about maintaining anything. And it really helps an occasional golf player save money.

Weight

Depending on the golf clubs and shafts, typically irons with steel shafts weigh around 200 grams, while those with graphite shafts weigh on an average of 100-150 grams. On the other hand, woods with steel s are a few grams heavier at 80-120 grams compared to the woods with graphite shafts, which could weigh around 55-90 grams.

The weight isn't really much of a problem if you have a cart to assist you while you play, and if you are playing in a very accessible green. However, the story could be a little different when you are to transport your equipment to a golf course that is far from where you are living, in which case renting golf club equipment could help you save strength for a more enjoyable play.
