A Guide To Buying Childrens Golf Clubs

2016/7/19 16:20:43

Choosing childrens golf clubs is considerably the same as selecting golf clubs for adults.

Years ago children had to use cut down golf clubs, but those days are long gone.

You must take into account the size and age of your child before considering buying golf clubs. Childrens golf clubs are mostly smaller and lighter than a standard set of clubs because they are more suitable to height, size and their strength.

If a child's golf club is too hefty this will affect their swing and they will soon lose confidence in playing.

We all know that children lose interest easily, so to make their practice sessions enjoyable, clubs of a suitable weight and size are needed for comfortable safe use.

As children get older they will need a set of clubs that are made with their height in mind.

The Length is usually the first thing to look at. There won't be a problem if your child needs to grip down on the club about an inch, any more than an inch can affect the way the swing takes the club around their body. A club set, the length of which requires your child to grip down one inch allows them to make a normal swing at the ball, but will probably be long enough to get another year's use from the clubs.

The Shaft Flex is the next thing to take into account. The shafts of childrens clubs are flexible enough to bend with your bare hands. When your buying your child their clubs make sure the set has a nice, flexible shaft. Proper equipment is extremely important for distance development. Look for components that are lightweight for their clubs such as flexible graphite shafts.

Grip size is the next thing to consider. Children can suffer the same problem with grip size as adults do. The swing will certainly alter if the grip feels too thick. So when buying childrens golf clubs, make sure they are fitted with child grips with a core size of .50. These will make a huge difference in your child's game.

On the days when golf doesn't quite go as planned great benefit can be had from the correct gear. It's for this reason buying childrens golf clubs must be treated the same as buying golf clubs for adults, to make sure they get as much enjoyment as possible when out on the course.

You will find that many companies are now producing clubs designed for kids of all ages as they are the up and coming future champions.
