Mini Golf For the Beginner

One of the best things to do on a warm Spring or Summer night is to play Miniature Golf. Just about everyone has played mini golf at one time or another. If you have never played before or need some tips please read on. We will give you some great ways to be good at Mini golf and still have fun. There have been many marriages that have started with a first-date Miniature Golf outing. It is a great place to spend time outdoors while showing your competitive nature even if you have never played real golf before.

There are many tips that could make your mini golf experiment better. Here are a few that will help in case you are about to play with that someone special.

The whole game is centered around putting the golf ball and getting it into the hole while usually avoiding some or multiple obstacles.

Make sure when putting you stand next to the ball and not behind it. Use a back and forth motion with the putter to hit the ball the speed you want. If you use a longer backstroke the ball will go farther and shorter if you use a short backstroke. Keep your head still.

Place the putter head behind the ball while aiming where you want the ball to go. Once you are aimed it is best to just think about speed and making a nice pendulum stroke.

Once you have figured out how to putt the ball properly the only thing left is to figure out the best way to get it in the hole in the fewest amount of strokes. Typically, there is one 'best' way and a few other ways that might take a few extra strokes. Don't worry, not everyone gets the ball in the whole with one stroke of the putter.

As you play more and more Mini Golf you will find that each course is different. Even if you don't play real golf you can still be good and have lots of fun. You may even find that you will be the best in your group. A little competition while having fun is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening with your friends or significant other.
