Golfing Left Handed

Since a lot of the training instructions tend to be for right handed golfers, someone who is left handed can easily get frustrated. It looks hard to get in to the sport you when you left handed because of this. However, there actually are a lot of different equipment and techniques available for people who golf left handed.

The techniques used for a right handed golfer and a left handed golfer actually aren't that different. You simply switch the instructions from your right side to your left side. Think of it as a mirror image. What works for a right handed golfer should also work with people golfing left handed.

It is important to practice these techniques out on your swing trainer. Practice your grip to make sure you are doing it the right way with your swing trainer. Swing trainers allow left handed golfers practice their stance and grip. There are a lot of shots that you will need to practice out with your swing trainer.

For example, chip shots can sometimes be hard for left handed golfers or right handed golfers. When doing a chip shot it is important to remember to lean your body more than average shots. Left handed golfers will need to lean their body to the right.

Putting is the same for left or right. You need to practice having a squared shoulder stance. Putting also requires a firm, but light grip, if you want to have a good follow through when hitting the ball.

You still need to practice other types of shots that you might have to face on the golf course. For example, you may find yourself out in the sand one day. It's important to remember to keep your feet placed firmly in the sand and have a lower grip on your club.

Equipment is very important when golfing. Unlike technique, you cannot use the same equipment as people who are right handed when you are left handed. Left handed individuals need to have their own equipment that is used specifically for people who are left handed.

In the past it was extremely hard to find good, quality golf equipment unless you were a professional and could have custom-made golf clubs. It can still be hard for people to find left handed equipment in a lot of stores. But thanks to the invention of the Internet, finding left handed golf equipment is easy to do. You simply have to search for it.
